Kabien made it to the First Grade!! Hooray! He is doing so well in school and we are sooo proud of him. Every time when we drop off Kabien Carter asks, "Me go too?" He thinks that school is another place to have fun and follow his big brother around. Kabien's favorite subjects are Math and Reading. He is advancing really quickly in both those subjects and he is continually impressing us each day. Good Job Kabien!!

Current Family Picture
At last...
At last I am finally updating our blog. It has been one crazy summer and the biggest problem was our computer. It would never work for me and when I tried to download anything it would freeze. So needless to say I have not touched the computer at all this summer. Now that that problem is fixed keep checking in and I will put as much up as I can to catch everyone up what we did!!

This is what happens when Kabien finds my camera...
I'm a Peeeeeeerate!
Why is it that children can never say the words right and then when they think they have to talk a certain way it comes out even worse!? Well this is Carter as a Peeeerate! Translation: Pirate with a swash buckle accent in kiddie land. For some reason my kids think Pirates have to always say Ar-me-mate, fight everyone, and wear earrings in their noses (YUCK). But this is Carter playing Nice Pirate just for mom. Quite funny!! :)
Not my Favorite Picture, but...
This is the first family picture that we have had taken since Carter was 6 months old and now he is going on 2 1/2!! Talk about being a slacker! We were down in Newport Beach, CA for my cousin's wedding. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed hanging out with their "BIG" cousins. The night before none of us got any sleep (due to the children) and we were all very sleep deprived, but I would do it all over again!! Fun trip! Oh by the way Kabien did not want to smile and Carter was wanting to stick out his tongue. Great kids! :)

Travis building a fence with Chris
So the reason the kids were running through the sprinklers, and Travis :), was because we went over to lend Travis' able body to build a fence with our friends Emily and Chris! It was a long day and I worked so hard watching the kids have fun while Travis went to town on hammering most of the fence boards. What a trooper and we got it done in one day!
Sneaky Thief!!
I missed a great opportunity to pull out the camera and catch Carter in his terrible act of being a very sneaky thief! Today is Memorial Day and Travis and I were looking at something on the computer in our room when all of a sudden I realized that it was extremely quiet and still. Usually our boys are very loud and are only that quiet when they are asleep. I walked out of my room to find that all the cabinet doors had been opened (blocking the hall way) and that Carter was on the Kitchen counter still as a statue. (We did not even know he could climb that high!) I walked over to him and realized that he had the bag of Swedish Fish in his hands. There was only two left out of twenty. He had a least three stuffed in his mouth and once I discovered what he was doing he tried to chew really, really fast. I couldn't help but smile. He still got a timeout and had to apologize for being dishonest. I just have to say...What a SNEAKY THIEF! :)

Updated Picture of the Kids
Carter...Where are you?
Lately Carter has really been into hidding. One time we were playing hide-n-go seek and I thought that he would probably hide in his bed or behind a door, but as I started looking (around our very small apartment) I realized that he was not hiding in any of the obvious spots that I was use to finding him in. I think I looked for that kid for almost a good 4 minutes and could not find him. Finally I heard this cute small voice say, "Mommy?" I walked into my room and still did not know where he was. Finally the door under my sink opened and he screamed "BOO!" I was totally surprised! How in the world did he figured out how to hide from mom. Now I'm thinking, Oh no, we are in trouble! :)
What are we teaching Kabien!?
Why is it that kids have to say the strangest stuff to complete strangers? This happened awhile ago--Kabien was talking to a nice man in our apartment complex and this was the conversation...
"Do you have a life?" (I was shocked at how forward he could be.)
The man paused and then was nice enough to respond, "Well, no I don't. My life is to work and sleep."
Kabien said, "Not that. A life?"
The man looked at me very confused and I did not know what to say. So I asked Kabien, "Describe what you mean."
"Mom, you know, someone to feed him, wash his clothes, and give him baths."
I couldn't help but laugh! Then it occured to me! What he was asking is if this man had a WIFE! :)
